How to sign up for a Gym & Pool membership
To get started, click ‘here'.
Follow the below steps once clicking the link above:
- Click join now.
- Choose your preferred centre and click next.
- Select the 'Promotion - 1 month for 1 week' option making sure it is shaded in blue and click 'Next'.
- Select the ‘Gym & Pool Membership Weekly’ option making sure it is shaded in blue and click ‘Next’.
- Choose what day you would like to start your contract and click 'Next'.
- Complete your personal details and click 'Next'.
- Agree to our promotional eligibility and membership terms and conditions.
- Click ‘Ok’ and ‘Next’
- Enter your bank account details to pay for your 'Gym & Pool' membership. Please do not use a debit card number.
- Read and accept all the agreements and click ‘Next’.
- You can then click 'Go to your client portal' to view your account.
- You are now all set up! Pop into one of our facilities to collect your membership card and have your photo taken.
To book your free induction session:
- Click 'Book' in your Client Portal.
- Click 'Fitness Programme'.
- Select an available date and hourly slot.
- Click 'Select personal training'.
- Select 'Induction Programme Week 1'.
- Select an available time - induction sessions require four consecutive 15 minute blocks to be available.
- You're booked! You can view your booking under 'My Bookings' in your client portal.

Promotion Eligibility
By signing up for this promotion (1 month for the price of 1 week), you agree that:
- The offer is valid from 8am, Monday 20 April to 11.59pm, Sunday 14 June 2026.
- Promotion applies to ‘Gym & Pool’ members paying by weekly direct debit only.
- After your first month, your membership will commence automatically with ongoing payments of $20.95 weekly.
- You have not been a member (or trialled a promotional offer) of Christchurch Recreation and Sport Centres for 6 months prior to joining.
- You are at least 15 years old.
- This promotion is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.
- Freezes cannot be applied in the first month.
- When signing up to a ‘Gym & Pool’ weekly membership via direct debit, your weekly direct debit payments will begin at the end of the promotional month.
- Standard membership terms and conditions apply from the commencement of this membership.
Promotion minimum term
- I understand that by signing up for this promotion I will receive a one-month membership for $20.95 and that after that one month, I will automatically be moved to a weekly paid direct debit Gym & Pool membership.
- I understand my total minimum term for the promotion is 8 weeks.
Promotion Signup Requirements
- I understand that to access Christchurch Recreation & Sports Centres using this promotional membership, I need to pay the initial amount of $20.95 and provide a valid bank account number which will be debited once the initial one-month period has ended.
- I understand that I may not be able to use Christchurch Recreation & Sports Centres until I have both paid the $20.95 fee and provided a valid bank account.
- I understand that I will be given 48 hours to provide a bank account, and that my promotional membership may be cancelled after that time, if I fail to do so.
